I grew up in France, a single child and a bookworm.
Art and drawing have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
I've always loved the fact that painting lets me uncork my thoughts and tell stories without having to force them into words. In general, I like exploring the world of ideas and translating concepts, memories or sensations into visual form, but inspiration sometimes hits rather randomly

I tend to like artists whose work is narrative, intricate, dark and thought-provoking: Aubrey Beardsley, Egon Schiele, Kay Nielsen, Arthur Rackham, but also contemporary artists like Mark Ryden, Ray Caesar, Camille Rose Garcia or Tara McPherson.
I also have a soft spot for Preraphaelite kitsch and comic artists with a sharp wit.
